ATTENTION: These skis include the factory bonded universal Nordic Integrated System (NIS) plate on the skis (bindings sold separately). See below for details. We highly recommend the Rottefella NIS T4 NNN ski bindings (sold separately) for use with the NIS system on these skis.
Perhaps the most popular cross country skis on the planet, the Madshus Lillehammer MGV recreational touring skis are responsible for putting the Madshus Skis company on the map! Manufactured in Norway, the capitol of nordic skiing, the Madshus Lillehammer skis have a long and low camber style with MultiCore Torsion Cap construction for absolutely flawless kick and glide classic skiing performance in all snow conditions & temperatures. Ideally suited for both classic kick & glide striding in groomed nordic ski tracks and other packed snow surfaces as well as out-the-back-door exploring off-trail in ungroomed parks, woods & fields, golf courses with new snow etc. Includes NIS plate (see below for details).
The Madshus Lillehammer MGV cross country skis are waxless skis that use the proprietary Madshus progressive MultiGrip Vario System (MGV) for solid grip on the uphills, as well as dynamic kicking & gliding. Mid-length sizing provides superb balance and control on the flats, rollers, uphills and downhills. Lower rounded ski tip produces a very efficient swing weight. Wider platform delivers nice flotation in untracked deep snow. 3D shape provides excellent torsional stiffness.
The Madshus Lillehammer nordic skis are easy to maneuver and control. The classic kick stride, snowplowing, herringbone and cornering are all easy to learn and execute flawlessly every time. Maintenance free, we recommend simply applying a quick coat of liquid glide wax before each outing, such as Swix Easy Glide (see accessories below), to improve ski glide and prevent snow from sticking to ski bases.

The Madshus Lillehammer MGV cross country skis feature the Nordic Integrated System (NIS) which factory bonds the NIS Plate to the skis. Any NIS compatible ski bindings then slide onto the NIS plate resulting in maximum stability and ski control when classic kick-and-glide striding, turning, climbing hills and descending. We highly recommend the Rottefella NIS T4 NNN ski bindings for use with the NIS system on these skis.
