The men's 2012 Salomon Escape 5 TR recreational nordic ski boots feature the original, legendary SNS Profil sole (for use with any Salomon SNS Profil ski bindings) and otherwise are exactly the same as the Salomon Escape 5 cross country ski boots with SNS Pilot soles (for use with SNS Pilot ski bindings). The Escape 5 TR delivers phenomenal value, comfort, warmth and performance for those preferring the original SNS Profil boot and binding system instead of the more recently introduced SNS Pilot system. There is no better choice than the Salomon Escape 5 TR boots when kick and glide stride recreational touring in groomed nordic ski tracks or exploring off-trail in untracked snow, on snowmobile trails and over variable terrain in the woods, local parks & rolling meadows is the goal. With a slightly stiffer design for superior stability, balance and control compared to other models in the recreational nordic touring category, the Salomon Escape 5 TR boots offer the versatility to perform exceptionally well off-trail as well as in ski tracks at any nordic touring ski center.
